Academic Year 2019-20 Paid Research Associate Opportunity with the Pluralism Project
Applications will be considered on a rolling basis through August 30th.
The Pluralism Project seeks competent, dynamic applicants for multiple paid Research Associate positions. Working closely with senior staff, the Research Associates’ primary tasks will involve updating the Pluralism Project’s web-based resources such as On Common Ground: World Religions in America; assisting in an update of the Pluralism Project’s website, pluralism.org; and helping with social media strategy.
Research Associates are expected to work in the office between 8-12 hours/week, with some flexibility.
Application Guidelines and Deadline: Please submit your application with a letter of interest, current resume/CV, and a short (no more than 2-3 pages) writing sample. Please combine all documents (letter of interest, resume, and writing sample) into one single PDF document with your first and last name as the document title. Please email applications to staff@pluralism.org. Applications will be considered (and interviews will be scheduled) on a rolling basis. The final deadline is 11:59 pm on Monday, September 2.
Qualifications: Applicants must be work study eligible for this position. Applications are sought from current undergraduate and graduate students with excellent writing and oral communication skills and some comfort in web design. Students with the following skills, background or interests are strongly encouraged to apply: education media and ethnographic research; web and/or database design, particularly a background in User Experience Design or User Interface Design; and experience with WordPress, Drupal, or other content management software. Preference will be given to current Harvard Divinity School and Harvard College students. We invite students from all majors to apply. Respect for diverse religious communities and professionalism are a must.
